Norman Thalheimer

Norman Thalheimer was composer / lyricist for the Broadway Musical,
“Marilyn: An American Fable" that ran at the Minskoff Theatre in New
York City and starred Scott Bakula and Alyson Reed. He wrote music and
lyrics for the L.A. acclaimed Sci-Fi Musical, “It Came From Beyond”,
which received 6 L.A. Ovation Award nominations in 2006 and is
presently being produced as a motion picture.
Norman is also the composer, lyricist and book writer of “Naked City
Blues" a.k.a. "Wicked City Blues”, a Film Noir Jazz Musical that
premiered at Weber’s Allred Theatre in Utah, 2005. The
Standard-Examiner said the show, “has legs” and “is likely it will be
drawing audiences elsewhere for years to come”. The Salt Lake Tribune
said “the musical looks and sounds great” and Utah Desert News named
it one of the Ten Best Plays of 2005. Norman recently composed the
music for the social satire, “HMO: The Musical. He has written music
and songs for television, industrials and such films as “The Howling”,
“The Prophesy”, “The Return of Captain Invincible” and “Jericho Mile”.
Norman is an accomplished jazz pianist and has accompanied a number of
entertainers and comedians, including the late great Richard Pryor and
Sam Kinison. Currently he is working with vocal artist Joe Yazbeck at
Heartbeat Productions on a recording of his original songs.

Stars in the upcoming Broadway musical Irving Berlin’s White Christmas opening on Broadway Nov 09 as Phil Davis (the Danny Kaye role in the film). He recently completed his run as "Tulsa" in Gypsy on Broadway receiving an Outer Critics Circle nomination for his performance. He also recently starred as "Gabey" in On the Town at City Center Encores! Other Broadway credits include "Al" in A Chorus Line, Never Gonna Dance, Oklahoma!, and Gypsy with Tyne Daly. Off-Broadway credits include "Charles" in Fanny Hill at the York and the City Center Encores! productions of Pardon My English, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Apple Tree, and Gypsy. Tony has toured nationally with Thoroughly Modern Millie, Annie Get Your Gun, and Doctor Doolittle. Tony starred as "Phil Davis" in Irving Berlin's White Christmas in Toronto. Other regional theatre includes "Wally Winston/M. Doucet" in Animal Crackers at The Goodman Theatre, "Tony" in West Side Story at Trinity Rep., "Bobby" in Crazy For You at Maine State, and "Tony" in Copacabana at Pittsburgh CLO. He has appeared on television in "All My Children" and "As the World Turns" and is presently in the feature film documentary Every Little Step.
